Jewelry Care

Cleaning your Jewelry

To clean jewelry, mix soap with warm water and use a soft toothbrush to gently rub the item, paying extra attention to difficult-to-access corners. If dirt persists, repeat the process in clean water. When cleaning gold-plated items, be sure to handle them gently to avoid any loss of plating. You can use a special silver-polishing cloth to restore shine to darkened jewelry, but keep in mind that this method will not remove any scratches or dents.

How to take care of your Jewelry.

To ensure the longevity of your jewelry, it is important to store it away from sunlight and warm areas. It is recommended to use a padded jewelry box or a tarnish-resistant bag for storage. Avoid using rubber containers as they can cause the jewelry to tarnish quickly and darken. It is not advisable to store your jewelry in humid locations or bathrooms.

While Vivid strives to provide high-quality products, we cannot guarantee that the gold-plating on our items will last indefinitely. Gold-plated items are inherently delicate and may lose their color over time. The rate at which this occurs can vary based on factors such as the use of chemical products on the skin, the wearer's level of perspiration, and even the pH level of the individual's skin. It is therefore crucial to take appropriate care of your gold-plated jewelry.
